Things are heating up!
Summer is here and so is our 25th Birthday!
In the years since Caboolture Sports Club first opened its doors on 9 December 1997, we’ve been able to achieve some fantastic outcomes for our community thanks to the support of you, our members.
For a quarter of a century, we’ve been heavily involved in funding sporting infrastructure and supporting not just our foundation clubs, but also other sporting teams and individuals from the entire Moreton Bay region. In addition, we have provided much-needed assistance to numerous schools, charities and community organisations.
It hasn’t always been easy, especially in recent years, but we proudly continue to provide employment to hundreds of locals, both directly at our venues and indirectly through our support of local businesses.
All the while we have been an important social hub for locals to meet, relax and enjoy our facilities and the entertainment we provide. And just quietly, we have won numerous awards along the way.
It has been an incredible start to our journey and I invite you to come along with us for what is truly an exciting future.
Here are some of the highlights for the season ahead!
A December to Remember
We couldn’t let this milestone pass without jam-packing it full of events, promotions and entertainment. And we want you to Celebrate With Us. So we’ve put together a package of 25 special offers that members can use throughout the entire month of December.
$30,000 Members Draw – Guaranteed
I’d like to say we planned our Double Ultimate Members Draw jackpot to reach $30,000 during our birthday week. But the truth is it was just dumb luck. Be that as it may, because we didn’t have a winner last night, one way or another we WILL be giving away $30,000 on Tuesday 6 December. There will be two chances for one person to take the lot with the first draw at 6.30pm and then if we need it, another at 7pm. If nobody claims it at 7pm we swing into a series of must-win draws with the entire $30,000 distributed between our three venues. Either way, it all has to be won.
Birthday Bingo
Our usual Friday morning bingo on 9 December was scheduled to be a Mega Bingo Session anyway. But because it falls on our birthday, we’ve made it an $8,000 Super Mega Session by including a $2,500 Unlimited Jackpot!
Birthday Cake
After bingo, or if you are in the area, join us for a slice of our official birthday cake. We’ll be cutting it up and handing it out to whoever would like some at 1pm on 9 December.
Friday Feels presents Brooklyn
To make it really feel like a party, we’ve invited the international DJ Brooklyn to help us celebrate our birthday on 9 December. Friday Feels will be moving to the Grevillea Stage with Brooklyn headlining this free show.
Barnes Storm
The party continues on 10 December with another huge free show. This time it’s the ultimate Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel Experience – Barnes Storm.
Hey Hey It’s Our Birthday – $25K Guaranteed Cash Giveaway
On 11 December we round out our birthday weekend with a massive $25,000 cash giveaway. There will be fourteen prizes – ranging from $1,000 through to $5,000. All of it must be won and you can already enter for free every day when you visit Caboolture Sports Club.
Stop – Ham(mer) Time!
‘tis the season and over the next few weeks we’re adding 188 Christmas Hams to our weekly raffles. From 2 December until 23 December, every Friday night raffle is going to be all ham – more than $2,000 worth. And from 6 December until Christmas Eve, our other weekly raffles will have hams added into the mix as well.
Kids Club Christmas Party
On 10 December, the kids will be entertained with a Christmas Show & DJ, Games & Prizes, Face Painting, Arts & Crafts and a visit from Santa! Lunch and a small gift is also included in the ticket price which is just $10 for Kids Club Members or $15 for non-members. Our last kids club party sold out. So don’t wait – book now!
Kids Entertainers
If you can’t make the Christmas party, we also have a magician and a balloon artist coming in to entertain the kids on 5 December and 12 December respectively.
Carols in the Club
Celebrate Christmas and help support kids in hospital. Something new we’re trying this year is a family-friendly Carols in the Club on 18 December. There will be multiple artists performing traditional carols and modern Christmas songs as well as an appearance by Santa. Everyone is welcome to join us for this free community event. We’ll be selling electric candles and taking donations in support of the Common Good.
Santa’s $10,000 Stocking Stuffer
If you remember the Easter Eggsplosion, you already know how this works. You can’t buy tickets in this raffle. But every day you visit Caboolture Sports Club and swipe your card in the Diamond Rewards Kiosk, you will receive Stocking Stuffer Points. Then on 18 December you will be able to swap your points for raffle tickets. The prizes are on display in the foyer now.
Christmas Trading
Christmas Day itself is one of the few occasions when we aren’t open for normal trading hours. We close at midnight on Christmas Eve and reopen as normal on Boxing Day. Otherwise, we’re open every other day in Summer.
New Year’s Eve
The other big event in December is of course New Year’s Eve. This year we have a free tribute show double-act with The Live Experience and Unlimited Peppers (the Australian Red Hot Chili Peppers Show) helping us see in 2023. Earlier in the day, our usual Saturday raffle will be replaced by an NYE version with $2,300 in prizes.
More Free Entertainment
After the excitement of our 25th Birthday, Christmas and New Year’s has died down, we still have plenty of free entertainment coming up for the rest of summer.
Country fans can look forward to seeing Jade Holland and her band on 14 January who will be touring to promote her brand new single Oh My Heart. And the super fun Whiskey Mountain Boys are coming back on 25 February.
If party rock is more your thing, be sure to check out Counterfeit Heroes, The Aliens, Empyre, Jurassic Pop and Rock of Nations.
And of course, we still have our free monthly tribute shows with the very popular INEXCESS returning on 28 January and one of the best AC/DC shows going around, High Voltage will be here on 11 February.

More Big Promotions
Possibly our most popular promotion in recent years is making a return in January. Very much like an old television game show, Deal or Dollars regularly attracted a crowd to watch players take on the bank. With $5,000 on the line every game, it’s no wonder. This time we’ll have even more games which means even more chances to play!
Another fun promotion making a return is Snag a Winner which we’ll be holding on Australia Day. Again, we can’t just bring something back and not make it better. So there will be more snags, more mulitpliers and ultimately more money for you to win.
And then in February, we’re playing Doggie Dollars. The puppies have escaped from the dog shelter. We’ll give you a reward for every one you find. But watch out for doo-doo!
And of course, all our regular promotions, bingo and raffles will continue every week.
Two More Bingo $7,000 Super Sessions
There are two public holidays in January and we’re going to have $7,000 Super Sessions on both of them. So if bingo is your thing, enjoy the day off with our New Year’s Day Bingo $7,000 Super Session and our Australia Day $7,000 Bingo Super Session.
Summer Cocktails
A new season also means a refresh of our cocktails menu. For this season we’ve compiled some of our most popular cocktails from recent years that are perfect for enjoying on a hot summer’s night – or whenever you feel like it. So Tempo: The Hits of Summer will launch on 2 December and be available until the end of February.
Summer Dining
Also on 2 December, the Laneway Café will be launching a new-look menu featuring a new Club Burger that you can design yourself while the Mill Restaurant is updating its very popular dessert menu with a few new decadent options to tempt you.
The first Friday of the month is also when we introduce our monthly catering specials. So again, on 2 December keep an eye out for exciting updates to the Mill Restaurant’s Farm to Table menu which features locally sourced ingredients. I can’t decide between the Qld Barramundi or the OP Rib. Luckily they will be available throughout December so you have time to try them all.
New specials coming to the Laneway Café and Tempo include a delicious Moroccan Chicken Salad and an intriguing Bolognaise Pizza. Once again, these will be available from 2 December.
Ticketed Shows
We only have the one themed trivia night planned for summer. On Friday 2 December (there’s that date again!), comedian host Mike Van Acker will be testing your knowledge of Movie Musicals Trivia from the golden age classics like the Wizard of Oz through to contemporary blockbusters like La La Land and the Greatest Showman. Tickets are going for a song at just $10. Book Now!
We also have just the one Sit Down Comedy Club double-header this season. Fiona McGary will be joined by Steven J Whitely on Friday 10 February. At just $20 for two complete sets, you won’t get a better value belly laugh anywhere. Book Now!
Valentine’s Dinner
Following the success of our Valentine’s Dinner this year, next year’s event will be held in the Grevillea room. More details will be available soon. But I can assure you our team is determined to make it even more special for you and your partner in 2023.
