On the back of a couple of tumultuous years, this summer has presented some significant challenges to the operations of Caboolture Sports Club.
The outbreak of the Omicron variant and the restrictions imposed by the Government necessitated a scale-back of many of our services – such as our food offerings, entertainment, kids club and courtesy buses, as key personnel were required to isolate.
And the heavy rain and flooding experienced in the past week has really capped off what has probably been the most difficult summer in memory.
Despite this, we have managed to keep the doors open (for the most part) and continue to provide our members with a quality of service of which I am extremely proud.
I would like to thank all of our wonderful staff who have stood tall in very difficult circumstances and often under enormous pressure to carry the extra load.
And I would like to thank all our fantastic members who have continued to show their support even when, at times, we were unable to provide an experience they would normally expect.
I am truly grateful to you all.
Now for the good news. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
From today (1st March) the Laneway Café will restore its complete menu.
From Friday, the full menu will also be available at the Mill Restaurant and you will once again be able to order food at Tempo.
Some of your favourite weekly specials will be available from next week and we’ll continue to roll out more as we get our rhythm back.
Speaking of rhythm, from next week we will take back our rightful position as the leading entertainment venue in the Moreton Bay Region when we return to our regular six days of free entertainment – which includes two entertainers on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
You may have heard the Government announcement that masks will no longer be required from 6pm on Friday (4th March) as well.
We are hopeful this means we have turned a corner and that we will soon be back to full operations in all areas.
In the meantime, thank you once again for your ongoing understanding and support.
