Caboolture Rugby Union Club is one step closer to having new lights installed on field 2 at Petersen Road Morayfield with the installation of four poles on Tuesday.
Each of the four poles has three LED fittings installed onto its brackets before lifting, with each pole taking only 30 minutes to be lifted and bolted onto the concrete pier footings.
Work is now focussed on finalising wiring and control switching, with the goal of having the lights working by tonight.
Funding for the lights has been provided through the Queensland Government’s Get Playing Places and Spaces program.
Get Playing Places and Spaces provides funding for infrastructure development so that more Queenslanders can be involved in sport and active recreation. Eligible organisations can apply for up to $150,000.
The new lighting will be used by members during training sessions and night time competition as well as spectators.
