Local Caboolture boy, Liam Wilson has been boxing since he was 10 years old and at just 21 years of age has an outstanding 122 wins from 135 fights.

Liam has been representing Australia since he was 14 years old and after claiming his first senior title late last year at the 2017 Elite Australian Boxing Championships, he has been selected to compete at the Commonwealth Games this year.

He has won his last 22 starts including international bouts under Coach Benny Harrington at the Pine Rivers PCYC.

Liam was already a well-established amateur fighter at 14 years old when he was part of a Queensland team that competed in Russia. Also in that team was a 21-year-old newcomer Jeff Horn.

“Liam is the real deal as a fighter,’’ said Horn, the world welterweight champ.

“He’s very tough, very aggressive and every fight he has is all action.’’

As a Rising Star recipient with Caboolture Sports Club, we wish Liam all the best at the games!
