Jim McArdleCaboolture Sports Club has paid tribute to one of its own, Jim McArdle, who sadly lost his battle with cancer last week.

Jim was a part of the Caboolture Sports Club family, having commenced his employment with the club in 2011.

Commencing in the bar, Jim quickly worked his way up to the position of Bar Supervisor in 2012 and Trainee Duty Manager in 2013, before moving into a permanent Duty Manager position in 2015.

Caboolture Sports Club GM Jamie Lancaster said Jim was extremely popular and well loved by the entire Caboolture Sports Club Team.

“Jim was a true larrikin and gentlemen that was highly respected by the entire Caboolture Sports Club team,” Mr Lancaster said.

“He’d often joke in a firmly tongue in cheek manner that his good looks were the reason for his luck and success, but those close to Jim knew he was always humble at heart.”

A funeral service will be held at Traditional Funerals, Burpengary from 1.30pm this Friday 29th September, followed by celebration of Jim’s life at Caboolture Sports Club’s Showroom from 3-6pm.

“The McArdle family have requested that attendees wear something bright (not black) to help celebrate the colourful man that he was.”
