Benno’s Big Sing
You’ve seen ‘em around town… those singer/guitarists or singer/piano players who sit down (or stand up) with their instrument and when they start playing – there’s a whole damn 10-piece band! Drums, bass, lead guitar, strings, horns, saxophone, the female backing vocalists—everything but the canned applause! (Actually, I’ve seen one guy who had that too!)
Benno is Chris Bent, lead singer of Gold Coast covers band ROCKS and music industry veteran.
While many singer/guitarists seem to get stuck in the 70’s & 80’s, Benno’s long career as a performer and record company executive has kept him in touch with the best music from each of the last four decades.
That includes melodic, acoustic versions of many recent pop/radio hits. “A great song is a great song” and a genuine, heartfelt performance will always let the song shine and remind you of why you loved that track in the first place.
