tullawong-main.jpgAfter another very successful year, Tullawong SHS Rugby League is hoping to continue its winning ways in 2012, starting with new jerseys thanks to sponsorship by the Club’s Sporting Development Fund.

Tullawong High Rugby League coach and teacher Jon Keal said the school was very grateful for the support and assistance provided by Caboolture Sports Club.

“The new jerseys look fantastic and the Club also has generously offered use of one its courtesy buses which greatly reduces the stress involved with team transport arrangements,” he said.

“Last year the Open Side defeated Morayfield High in the grand final to become district champions, which is the fourth year straight for this team and an outstanding achievement.

“The team then progressed through to the Metro Grand Final, but were beaten by a better team from Redbank Plains SHS on the day. As metro finals cover all teams from south-east Queensland, this is a continuing and excellent effort from a dedicated and motivated team.

“However, they were less successful in the Redcliffe 9-aside competition, and they also lost to Nambour in semi-finals of the Regional Australian School Boys Cup.”
