Jack Connew’s hard work in the kitchen was recognised last month when he received an Acclaim School Based Training Outstanding Achievement Award.

School-based apprenticeships allow students to get a head start by commencing their employment while still at school. They are released from school to attend work or training for one day per week.

The Club was also honoured to receive an outstanding achievement award for Large Business (Southern Zone) Host Employer of the Year.

And most recently, Annalise Painter was named Australian Trade College Apprentice of the Year in Commercial Cookery

“The Club is continually fine tuning its training techniques and practices to ensure that the large number of apprentices and trainees currently employed here at the Club are given the best possible start in the hospitality industry,” Mr Hume said.

“It is very gratifying to see these two hardworking young staff members rewarded for their efforts and we look forward to tasting their good works at the Club in the years to come.”
