Caboolture Sports Club is helping to end the cycle of domestic violence by donating the proceeds of their recent charity golf day to the RUBY program.
RUBY (which stands for Rise Up, Be Yourself) is a unique physical fitness program operated by the PCYC Caboolture and Caboolture Police to help combat the domestic violence cycle by fostering connected relationships with other women in a safe environment.
The Club’s annual charity golf day raised $11,200 to enable the RUBY program to help even more local women who are, have been, or are likely to experience domestic and family violence.
Club Sports Manager Tony Clarke said more than 140 players took part in the charity event, held on July 29th at Caboolture Golf Club and all dug deep to help the program.
“We are delighted to have been able to raise such a great total for this cause and thank all our sponsors for their support,” he said.
